Thank you for your continued support of the King Chamber of Commerce. I am pleased to accept the role as President for 2023, after being voted in by my peers on the Board of Directors. On behalf of the King Chamber, we look forward to further supporting and promoting the business interests of our members. We will continue to focus on our mission to “lead and serve the King business community,” and our goal to “build, drive and positively influence the economic landscape of King Township.”
I am also pleased to welcome back the returning members of the Board as well as the newly elected Board Directors who are volunteering their time to support the goals and objectives of the Chamber in its mission.
And, most of all, we welcome the continued support of our members, without whom we would not exist. As a Chamber we are a network of local businesses, professionals, entrepreneurs, and community groups working together to promote our collective interests within the community and must continue with that goal.
The Chamber conducted, supported, and sponsored several successful and worthwhile events this past year. Going forward, we are planning for an active year again, repeating many of the events of the past year and looking at new opportunities for networking and supporting the business community. The first major event of this year was our AGM, which was very well attended, and provided members an opportunity to promote their products or services, and network.
We will continue to collaborate with other business organizations and partners to achieve our mission. As well, we will continue to work with our local and provincial governments, to bring forward resolutions through the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and Canadian Chamber of Commerce on issues affecting our members.
We always welcome feedback and suggestions on how to better provide support to our members.
